What's happening?

1. I've managed to keep myself pretty busy the past week, and I've been in a great mood lately.
2. The Shady Ladies (C team) is back in 1st place after 2 wins this past Sunday.
3. I saw RuPaul @ the grand opening of Kiss & Fly last Wednesday, it was really busy and I got a little tipsy for a Wednesday night.
4. Kiss & Fly is the shit
5. I went to game night at Noe & Nick's house last Friday and then went out with Brit and got tore up... so much fun.
6. Noe & I are on much better terms. Could things end up working out after all? Only time will tell I suppose. I'm not stressing out over it anymore, if it happens it happens. However I have finally realized that giving each other space and spending time apart is very good.
7. Everyone has been sick with a cold or allergies and I'm trying to avoid it, I have had a minor cough and runny nose but I'm not gonna let myself get sick!
8. I may be the Man of Austin again.
9. I had to get a new iPhone because I dropped my old one and the mic stopped working. I love the 3g, why didn't I get one sooner?
10. This past Saturday at softball practice I hit 5 home runs over the fence (the wind was blowing) and Dusty broke his arm. :(

I'm really tired, exhausted from the weekend & softball, and need to rest but I have so much on my mind. I screwed up big time on Saturday night and there's nothing that can undo the damage. I don't know what to do.

Shady Ladies Week 4

Today my team won our 1st game but lost our 2nd game. I had a homerun in the 1st game and played very well most of the day. Our Right Center Fielder was out so I got to cover for him instead of my normal DH position. I played Rover a lot too so I got some good cardio in from running around the field so much.

Our D-division team won both of their games today so congrats to them!

SXSW, Drama & Recovering

SXSW was a lot of fun. I don't know why I never did this in the 3 years I've lived in Austin!

I got some pics to post from my iPhone but I can't seem to locate my camera. (I hope I find it!)

Saturday I saw The Cool Kids and that night I went to the Perez Hilton party at some old abandoned Safeway. Amazing line up and Kanye West showed up for a surprise performance.

Bad personal stuff also happened at this party though. I went with my ex, we had spent the entire weekend together again, and we got in a huge argument, and now I'll probably never talk to him again. I'm really upset, mostly cause it was all my fault this happened, and we had been trying to work things out, and we were getting along so well. I might go into more detail later on but I need some time to get my head right.

I'll post again very soon but for now I have softball games to go to! Go Shady Ladies!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Today was another really sucky day at work. Things are really stressing me out...

...but it's St. Patrick's day!

My family is very Irish (my grandfather came to the U.S. from Ireland as a child), so it's in my blood to celebrate, right? I was going to go out and have some drinks but there's too much going on at work and I can't afford to be hung over tomorrow...

So instead of going out and getting drunk, I'm celebrating St. Patty's day with another kind of green...

Week from hell?

Let's hope not.

I've been really busy with work this week, I think I'm losing my mind a little. I also might be rekindling things with my ex boyfriend, and that's kinda driving me a little crazy too. We just spent 4 nights together, but it wasn't actually the best 4 days. He said he was light headed Wednesday night when he walked to the bathroom before bed, then I hear a loud bang, followed by a few more. I went to check on him and he had fainted and had a seizure. I was pretty worried all weekend, he's been to a few doctors to get checked out and I thank god and I'm happy to report that he's ok.

This weekend is SXSW music festival and I'm experiencing it for the 1st time. I'm hoping the week gets better, I have Friday off of work!

No Softball :(

Softball practice was rained out and the games tomorrow were cancelled. :(

Tournament, Tacos & Trophy!

All I have to say right now is wow, what an amazing weekend.

My teammates Dan & Tony drove up to Dallas with me on Friday night, we went out to a few of the bars but tried not to get too drunk so we could play ball the next day. Dan & Tony were pretty successful at staying semi-sober, I on the other hand got a little tipsy!


We got a little crazy in the hotel lobby when we got back from the bars...


Now first of all, let me tell you that the Shady Ladies kicked ass in the Dallas Voice Driller's preseason tournament. Our 1st game was really close, we played a team that was made up of half of the 2008 Gay World Series champs, the Dallas Woody's Wrecking Crew. We had a pretty good lead most of the game, then we made some errors and they caught up a little bit, then we had an awesome rally which included an amazing triple by yours truly that scored 2 runs. That was my highlight of the day.

The next 2 games were against a really good team, made up of mostly players from the Dallas Voice Drillers but with some other pickup players as well. They called themselves the Pink Tacos!

The first game against them was pretty tough. The wind was blowing extremely hard to right field so most of us had to learn how to hit opposite field so the wind wouldn't catch the ball. Our only "straight" teammate Weston gave me some pointers and I had a solid base hit from using his advise. Thanks Weston!



The second game with the Pink Tacos was pretty close as well, Jason and I were so hyped up that I don't even remember much besides getting another opposite field base hit and making as much noise as possible.

We won all three games we played and walked away with the 1st place trophy in our 1st out of town tournament. I am so proud of everyone and it's an experience I'll never forget. I can't wait until we get to play in the Austin & Dallas tournaments and then the Gay World Series in Milwaukee!







That night it was time to celebrate!

We went to Round Up and then to S4 for the rest of the night. I don't remember much else! (I was celebrating!!)

Shady Ladies in Dallas

This coming weekend my softball team, the Shady Ladies, are going to Dallas to play in our 1st out of town tournament! I'm kinda nervous but it should be a lot of fun, whether we do good or not. Saturday night we'll be going out on the town so that should get pretty crazy too, I can't wait!

Those who know me well, or those who have known me for quite some time, know that I used to blog. While at lunch with a friend today, after catching up on recent events in each others life and discussing how each other were doing, it was mentioned that I should start blogging again. I had been considering it already, to give me a chance to voice how I feel about the many things currently going on in my life, so to hear someone else suggest it, made it sound like an even better idea. So I'm back, giving this new blog pieces of my life.
